In 1980, two local riders, Pat Callahan and Tim Sullivan, began meeting during the week to ride around Coronado. Two weeks after their first ride they were joined by George Moore, followed by Porkchop, and then Debbie Callahan. Initially this small group of riders consisted of just fellow neighbors along Margarita Avenue but soon more riders joined the group. A few weeks later, the group of neighbors was joined by the first non-Margarita riders, Frank and Laura Rockwell. Now twenty-five years later the Crown City Cyclists have grown from just a few neighbors and freinds to over 120 members and still counting. Thanks to the dedication of a few local riders Cornado now has a thriving cyclist community with numbers increasing every year. As proud sponser of the Crown City Cyclists, Holland's Bicycles would like to wish the group a big Congratulations on their 25th anniversary.
